The Story behind Aarion's.
Our son, Aaron who was born in 1986 had a chronic health problem leading to multiple health
procedures and surgeries which ultimately resulted in his all too early passing. At the time
of his death, a friend sent to us our foundation bitch: CocoaPort's Sol Resplendar (Sunshine).
Sunshine was meant to bring a little "sunshine" into our lives. This was only fitting to us as Aaron
loved puppies and playing with them always brought him joy and laugher. Our kennel name, Aarion's,
is in remembrance of Aaron as he is the reason that we got into showing and breeding dogs. It is
our sincere hope that each new family that adopts one of our puppies, will treasure and love
them in the way that Aaron did.

Aarions has been involved in showing and breeding quality champions PWD's for
15 years. Our dogs are all cared for in a loving home environment with plenty
of excercise and fresh air. Puppies are temperament tested to determine the best personality for families
who desire an Aarion puppy. We place our puppies in homes that will provide the
love, time, and care necessary for the breed. All puppies are sold on Spay/Neuter Contracts to approved homes. Our puppies
are examined by our veterinarian before going to their new homes and we require
that puppies are vet checked again, within 48 hours of going to their new homes.

The Portuguese Water Dog is not the best breed-choice for everyone and the decision
to obtain one should not be taken lightly. PWD's are intelligent, active, and people
oriented. They require regular grooming and daily exercise to remain happy and healthy.
Obedience Training is strongly recommened. Obedience training is a wonderful way to
bond with your puppy, and an obedient, well trained dog is more happy and more enjoyable.
We follow our puppies throughout their lifetimes, supporting the needs of the pups and
their families to maximize the "water dog experience". Books, websites, and activites
that will help you prepare include:
